Behind the guide

My name is Jacob and I have climbed Kebnekaise more times than I can count – first as a teenager in rain and fog, later on skis in the April light.

The Kebnekaise Guide began as notes for friends who kept asking the same questions: which route, which gear, what time of year. Now it is this site.

I sell nothing and I am sponsored by no one. Everything here comes from my own trips, conversations with the mountain station staff and recent seasons' conditions.
